We are hiring!

We are looking to recruit an ASP .NET MVC Developer to join our team

Creatio is an exciting, energetic, fun, flexible and unique company who will support you in your role and constructively challenge you so you evolve further and enjoy coming to work. We deliver IT software and consultancy services to the Education sector; with our creatiogreen software used by a variety of well-known organisations in the UK and overseas. Our sales have increased by over 50% in the past two years alone and we have an incredibly strong customer pipeline and roadmap.

Our Product

Our core product is an extensive SaaS workflow solution on which our customers rely for a range of business activities including qualification development, centre management workflow, corporate governance and learner grading and certification. It is completely configurable per client to reflect their in-house processes and ways of working. It is a multi-tenant web application built on ASP.Net MVC and SQL Server using C#. We have a rich UI that makes use of a lot of javascript and jQuery, and a large number of complex stored procedures. We also have a number of separate applications used for reporting and integration with other systems. We use Teamcity/Octopus for build automation and deployment and Subversion for source control.

Our team and working environment

Our small but dedicated development team operates out of our lovely new office in Twickenham. We prioritise developer focus and happiness, providing first class equipment (decent computers, sit/stand desks, Aeron chairs) and a quiet and comfortable working environment. Formal meetings are very rare and our goal is to maximise focus and productive collaboration.

Our Values

Our success as a company had been built around the quality of our delivery and importantly our reputation; which in turn is underpinned by our core values that are embedded into our work with clients and day-to-day behaviour:

  • Be the Best - We aim to be the best system on the market and continually strive to enhance our solutions and improve our products and services.
  • Client Focussed - We put client needs at the front of everything we do. We aim to fully understand their business so we ca work effectively with their teams to deliver real change and benefits.
  • Looking for solutions – We have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude to solving problems and overcoming issues. There is rarely anything that is truly 'out of scope'.
  • Have fun and enjoy - We make work as enjoyable and fun as we can and pride ourselves on having just the right mix of business and pleasure.
Current development focus

Obviously we need to maintain and improve our current system but we also have a number of greenfield projects coming up, such as an API project (MVC Core) to open our system up to external systems, multiple systems integration projects and important new features required by a constantly changing regulatory environment and customer base. We’re also planning a complete UI refresh, looking into ways of optimising database performance and experimenting with deployment automation. Thousands of users interact with our system every day and we’re constantly looking for ways to optimise performance and scaling as well as adding new features and approaches.

About you

You are currently an ASP.Net MVC developer who has worked in a commercial environment for at least a year and have a thorough understanding of how modern web applications work in general (HTTP, REST, HTML5, CSS), and how ASP.Net applications work in particular.

You are comfortable with both server side (C#) and client side development (javascript/jquery), and you know your way around a SQL stored procedure. Any experience with a modern front-end framework (eg vue.js) would be beneficial.

You are an excellent problem solver and happy to move a project forward on your own initiative. You would like to work in a growing company, get your hands dirty with a variety of development tasks, and take ownership of key parts of the project from the outset.

As we work with data relating to adult and child learners all employees at Creatio are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which we would organise.

About the role

This is a permanent position based in our Twickenham office reporting to the Development manager. The salary will be based on experience, and the successful candidate will enjoy a minimum of 25 days leave increasing annually (the office is closed during Christmas), flexible working and other benefits.

How to apply

If you are interested in the role and wish to be considered, then please submit your CV with a covering letter to alan@creatio.org.uk by the close of play Friday 28th February 2020.

We are also looking for more experienced .NET Developers to join our team. Please contact alan@creatio.org.uk in the first instance with details of your experience.
