Meet the Team: Behind the Scenes - Paloma

In this new monthly series, I will be interviewing different members of the Creatio Team. I thought it would be only fair if I introduced myself first.

We will start with the obvious, where I explain my role within Creatio.

Marketing Manager

Role:

A wide variety of tasks, all marketing related activities from events to social media to graphic design and everything in between. I also help with the sales strategy and business development.

What’s your favourite part of your job?

I enjoy each one of the tasks I am assigned but I am more comfortable when managing events, creating fun merchandise and creating content, like this very series you are reading right now.

What’s your background?

I have always worked for the education sector, first on a B2C company and then for CTH, an awarding organisation in the hospitality sector. I have always been in sales and marketing teams doing a wide variety of tasks, but it is now at Creatio where I feel I am using my full potential. Wow, that was deep!

What energises you at work?

Definitely NOT coffee (I don’t drink caffeine). What really gives me the excitement is to see favourable outcomes, when analytics match the effort and when I have someone to talk to. Sorry for the colleagues who sit next to me on an office day.

And now is where the fun starts and you get to meet us a bit more in depth.

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

I am always somewhere with live music, whether that is in one of the hundreds of local pubs in London or at major gigs or festivals (can winter be over already?!). My dad has also gifted me with an analogue camera and I now spend my weekends trying to take cool photos. Oh, and I have recently started boxing classes, so that’s there…

What is the most interesting/unique or fun fact about you?

It doesn’t matter how many times I read that it is impossible to lick your elbow, I keep trying every time I come across the sentence.

Your most “useless” skill.

I can wiggle my ears, is yet to make me rich.

How many Star Wars Movies/TV shows have you watched?

Alan will probably not like this response, but I have only watched the ones with Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman for obvious reasons, I can’t wrap my head around to watch the rest of them, but I still love our Stormy!

Are you a Spurs fan?

I am now! I was a firm Guardiola fan (and hence Manchester City supporter), until I joined Creatio. Now my heart is divided.

Your favourite podcasts/books/albums you can’t stop listening or talking about.

Books definitely Harry Potter, where are all my Slytherins at?, then I would probably say my favourite album of all times is “An Awesome Wave” by Alt-J, I have probably seen them 5 times live already, and last but not least the podcast by James and Fuhad named ShxtsnGigs, I would strongly recommend them as they give their very unfiltered opinion about everything, though probably only millennials would understand.
